Our Current Activities

LCB runs classes in non-contact boxing fitness for any interested parties across the South London community. We work in schools, community centres, halls, adventure playgrounds and a range of other third-party venues to reach as many people as possible, of all ages and abilities, providing them with fun, safe and specifically tailored sessions to suit their needs.

Under a two-year programme funded by the London Mayor’s Office (September 2013-2015), we offer blocks of classes completely free to young people aged 11-24 years in the boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth and Croydon; the same provision is also available in Merton and Sutton.

When the blocks of free classes come to an end, we provide advice, assistance and introductions to enable all interested young people to continue their training – perhaps with a local boxing club or at an accessible partner hub site; we also investigate possible ways of funding ongoing classes at the venue in question, via small grants programmes, our own charitable subsidies, or fee-paying participation capped at an affordable rate.

In addition to grant-funded sessions, we provide affordable boxing fitness classes to the general public, including ladies- and adult-only sessions.

All LCB coaches are fully qualified and cleared to work with young people.
